Today we are sharing Martie and Werner’s Golden Gate wedding with you, as photographed by Palm Photography from the Free State. We just love the vibrance and energy of Elsie and by looking at these images it is clear that she made the best decision of her life. The use of soft yellows, greens and whites are the perfect combination for the table decorations, fresh and not overwhelming. Enjoy the work of Palm Photography as he tells the story from his perspective.
Lovebirds | How did you two meet?
We met in Stellenbosch, where we both studied. We were in residences, so Majuba, the guys residence and Nerina the girls residence had a residence liaison, and that is where we met. At stage Elsie still dated another guy, but Werner knew that this was the woman he was gonna marry.
I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
We went up a mountain where we had this fantastic view over the whole of Cape Town, Somerset, and even Stellenbosch. So the scenery was just phenomenal, we sat there watching the sunset. There were lots of tourists and other people also enjoying the view, when the love of my life fell on his knees and asked me to marry him, so all the people were celebrating the engagement with us, people we don’t even know.
The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
Obviously the most memorable moment would be, when I walked down the aisle, and to be honest the whole wedding from the food to the decor everything was such a special moment for us.
I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day
