Farzana and Wayden got married recently in what one might call one of the dreamiest weddings of 2017. The photographic evidence only gives a glimpse of what a magical day it was. But you don’t need photos to know that this happy moment was a long time coming. They met over 6 years ago in Bloemfontein, not knowing that they grew up in the same small town of Kimberley their whole lives, I guess destiny only wanted them to meet a bit later in life. After a fairytale engagement on a private beach in Thailand, the time finally came for the two to take the next big step in their beautiful journey.
The wedding started off with a Muslim Nikkah Ceremony whereby all the bridesmaids wore white dresses and the bride wore a Gold and Cream vintage style dress with a gold diamante scarf.
You couldn’t find a more in-love couple if you tried; I’m convinced of it. There’s proof shown in the photos. In the first photo Farzana posted, she wrote, “Once in a while, right in the middle of an ordinary life…Love gives us a Fairytale…And I’d choose you; in a hundred lifetimes, in a hundred worlds, in any version of reality, I’d find you, and I’d choose you.”
Wearing a lace full sleeve lace ball gown dress, with a long trail, and a diamante/pearl headband, Farzana looked like a Disney princess come to life. Her prince charming wore a double-breasted black tuxedo which complemented her perfectly.
The reception was at Emoya Wildlife Estate; it included a wooden deck overlooking the water and wildlife. All items made by the bride herself, which added to the look and feel of the wedding included a wooden vintage style welcome board, personalized name badge, on the floor, seating chart with photos ranging from newborn to the day the couple met, puzzle tree guestbook, sweetbox thank you sweets in homemade boxes, Echeveria succulent rose grown by the bride and given as thank you gifts in homemade pot plants, cootie cutter menu with each guests name on, ‘happy tears’ tissues, wedding programme, roc candy sweets with the bride and groom’s name on it. The menu included Portuguese chicken, lamb curry, roast vegetables, pouri, atchar, and a wide range of desserts in a buffet style.
From the photos, you get a better look at Farzana’s gown while also showing off just how wonderful and happy she and Wayden look together. The setting for their wedding took place on a wildlife reserve surrounded by various animals which set a beautiful atmosphere. Knowing that they were able to enjoy this special day with friends and family feels like the perfect way to begin a new chapter in their lives together.
