Today we are featuring this beautiful wedding by Debbie Kelly Photography. Aside from the gorgeous décor and her beautifully detailed gown, our favourite part of this wedding is the beautiful couple shoot on the beach, have a look!
Lovebirds | How did you two meet?
We officially met in 2006 while out having drinks with friends, Wade was charming and handsome and all I remember was being drawn in by his cheeky smile. We parted ways only to reconnect about 5 months later when he casually walked into our offices looking for his Mom who had subsequently been working with me the entire time. Funny thing was that his Mom had kept telling me what a handsome son she had and that I should meet him.. We were introduced (for the second time) and basically just smiled at each other, his Mom had no idea we had already met.
I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
On Valentine’s Day I was surprised with a gorgeous picnic on top of the cliffs at Morgans Bay. We ate lunch while watching the waves crash against the shore- It was absolutely gorgeous. Wade said that he had bought me a little something but that I needed to close my eyes as it was a surprise and I could only open them when he told me to. I closed my eyes as he requested, he then started professing his love for me and asked me to be his wife, by that stage I think we were both in tears. When I opened my eyes he had the most gorgeous engagement ring in his hand.
The Big Day | What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
There were truly so many but having both my brothers walk me down the aisle was just incredibly special. Also the father daughter dance which in my case was a brother sister dance, don’t think there was a dry eye in the house..
Describe your wedding day in one sentence
Our wedding day was unscripted, magical and imperfectly perfect..
Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides?
The day is such a rush remember to take in it all in slowly, and breathe- enjoy every minute, It goes by so quickly. Things will definitely go wrong or not be perfect but remember to savour the unscripted moments, they are what make your day unique and special.. Most importantly don’t forget that at the end of the day it is about you and your partner.
