The glass and steel structures of The Reserve Office Park, in Illovo, served as the perfect blank canvas to create Kelly and Amit’s contemporary wedding. It provided the opportunity to skillfully balance modern simplicity with timeless elegance.
Guests were greeted by an aisle lined with modern Hurricane lanterns, overlooking a softly draped Oak tree; set for the “I Do’s”. The couple’s affinity to go the extra mile, geared the Beatrix Events team to give extraordinary attention to detail. Ceremony detail included parasols, Chinese lanterns, and a special petal design on the grass, to lend an indulgent touch to the ceremony under the trees.
The contrast between the graceful draped four story office park, and the glass and steel interior, ensured for an unmatched reception setting. With this backdrop, vintage candelabras, designer tableware, handmade orchid wedding stationary and scrumptious food; the stage was set for spirited festivities to be enjoyed by all. Quirky elements performed as the final balancing act, ensuring that the highly elegant and modern give way to a touch of spontaneity. Some of these elements included the ribbon-walled candy buffet, set on crisp white plinths and glass tops; the white flip-flops on the dance floor to lend relief from aching feet; and finally the floating lantern ceremony on the office rooftop. The simple crisp colours; the contrast between soft romance and modern structure; and each handpicked aspect of this celebration, translated into a Beatrix Events wedding unlike any before. A new benchmark to beat for the Beatrix Events team.
