Today’s beautiful wedding was submitted by Karina Conradie Photography. Norman and Lizelle tied the knot at the Dwarsberg Trout Hideaway in Rawsonville. We love the soft green theme with the natural colours and olive branches. Enjoy these lovely photographs!
Lovebirds | How did you two meet?
We met on the”jool” tour at university. We were both at Stellenbosch University and our residents went on a tour together as we were partners for that years “RAG” time. We were all waiting patiently on the bus ready to leave, waiting for Norman, my husband, to arrive…I had no idea who he was at that stage, but when he got on the bus, I knew this was going to be a very exciting tour! And that’s where the love story started…
I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
We were going to a wedding in Cape Town for a weekend and my husband had planned an event for every day, letting me know in advance. Part of this plan was to go do a “walk down memory lane”…going to all our special places in Stellenbosch. I thought that it would all happen there, but he kept me waiting even longer. We went off to Kalk Bay to meet my parents for dinner at one of our favorite restaurants. We went for a walk on the jetty and there was a special table set out for us. He popped the question, and with screaming and crying I said yes.
The Big Day | What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
Waking up to a breathtaking view with vineyards and mountains surrounding me, knowing that I am marrying my best friend on that day and the look on my husbands face when he saw me walking towards him, as well as my dad giving his daughter away and being the proudest dad ever.
Describe your wedding day in one sentence
It was the most special day of my life, I felt like I was dreaming the best dream ever and I did not want it to end!
