We can’t even begin to tell you how much we love today’s wedding at Die Woud by Tasha Seccombe Photography! We are talking gorgeous lace wedding dress, Orchids, rustic modern décor…They had us at lace!
Congratulations Kyle and Lushinka!
Lovebirds | How did you two meet?
Kyle was secretly set up by each of our best friends wives. At the time they were living together in a digs during university. He was invited over for a midweek glass of wine and unknowingly walked into the “set-up”. That was 8 years ago and the rest is history.
I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
We had rented a house on the Knysna heads for a family Christmas. It would the first time that we would have had our entire family, extended family and partners under one roof all at once.
On arrival Kyle insisted that we go for a walk after a 6 hour drive that afternoon from Cape Town. The weather was overcast, the seas were rough and I was really not in the mood. We ended up on a secluded beach at the heads. He surprised me while taking my picture by dropping to his knee. Obviously I was in a far better mood on the walk back home.
The Big Day | What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
The moment when you can let you hair down and enjoy the celebration for what it is…..
Describe your wedding day in one sentence
The culmination of 8 years hard work and determination!
Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides?
During the dinner while everyone is busy socialising and enjoying their meal, take a walk to a solitary spot and view from afar your “wedding”. Stand there, take in the moment and all that you have achieved to get there.
