A harvest themed wedding is a beautiful ode to a wedding centered around family, good food, warmth and the fullness of life. This tranquil and rich theme is achieved with the rustic charms of raw wood crates, golden hay bales, and loose flower arrangements of proteas, greenery, berries and fynbos. Tables were decorated and filled with yummy ripe fruits, golden ginger beer, Acorns, Pine cones, Old Books and indulgent treats done by The Cake Cartel set on soft Cream accents freshened up the look and gave it that romantic rustic wedding feel. We really wanted the tables to look ecoverflowing to suit the harvest theme.
The stationary for this Harvest styled shoot was created by Chrisinda from Hello Dolly. Stationary was printed on brown craft paper, just love the whimsical, yet rustic feel of the table numbers, name tags and the menu’s that we also used as serviette rings. For the guests we created honey / jam jars as favours using re-purposed stage 2 purity bottles with rope that was stuck on using craft glue. The lids were covered in washi tape to cover up the purity labels.
Make-up was done by the talented Rocio from Fashion make-up, she made use of earth tones eyeshadow and subtle hints of orange to complimenting our brides features and hair color. Genevieve from Geneviève Fundaro Photography captured this fun harvest shoot with her unique style and techniques, showcases a subtle underestimated beauty of the ordinary things in life! Our model was dresses by Vonvé Bridal Couture, truly some of the most lovely dresses we have seen to date! The gown featured in this shoot was a modern lace retro-inspired overlay wedding gown with intricate hand beaded short sleeves, finished with a beautiful scalloped edging and a beaded headband from our collection.
