Lovebirds | How did you two meet?
Our paths first crossed one early morning in an elevator in our block of flats in
Stellenbosch. We became very good friends over many a coffee date and a few
months later we decided that we weren’t fooling anyone anymore.
I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
It was the day after Valentines day so I was not expecting anything at all.
We set out on one of our many hikes up to crystal pools in the Steenbras River
Gorge, once we reached the top rock pool Liam strategically hid the ring in a
small rock pool for me to find.
At first I just thought someone had lost their precious ring…then realized what
was going on.
I said yes and we literally both took the plunge into the rock pool together and
decided to make it official.
The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
This is a difficult question. I think it would have to be between coming out after
the ceremony and seeing all my family and friends that I had not seen in ages
and my fathers very witty and brilliant speech (he had been nervous for weeks
before the wedding and he did an absolutely amazing job).
I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day
An amazingly happy day spent with family and friends, things were very relaxed
and just great vibes all round.
Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides
Have fun, go with the flow and don’t expect everything to be perfect. For me it
was about being together with the people I care about most and everybody
having a good time.
Oh and take a minute every once in a while and just take everything in, it all
goes by really quickly.
