The wedding of Alan and Fransi has a vibrancy to it, not only of colour, but of warmth, love and happiness. Cheerio Garden is situated in the beautiful Magoebas Kloof area, an oasis compared to its surroundings. This beautiful couple recently tied the knot there and what a stunning wedding they have put together. Photography was done by the impeccable Foto Asylum, who tells the story beautifully. This wedding puts a smile on your face!
Lovebirds | How did you two meet?
We met on a night out in 2008. Thereafter we didn’t see each other again until 2010 when
Alan plucked up the courage to ask Fransi to dinner!
I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
I woke up one morning and found a letter, a dress and a pair of earrings on my bed. The
letter said to catch the 17:52 train from Hatfield to Rosebank that evening. When I
arrived, Alan was waiting for me at the station with a cardboard sign asking me to marry
me. After I said yes, he whisked me away in a vintage 1959 MG A to The Living Room
in Maboneng precinct where he had arranged a surprise engagement party with our
families and friends.
The Big Day | Tell us the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
The most memorable moment of the evening was sitting outside the venue around the
fire with our friends, playing guitar and singing along!
I Quote | Describe in one sentence your wedding day
A day of family, friends and warm embraces.
Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides
Relax and enjoy your day. The biggest obstacle in doing so is to worry too much!
