Oh goodness, we are just IN LOVE with this! Today’s “Eastern Mosaic: An Indian Odyssey” styled shoot was a creative collaboration by amazing suppliers, and the beautiful photos were taken by Art Photo.
“Inspired by the rich and sumptuous jewel tones of India, we created a shoot to showcase the use of some key elements from the culture in the bridal arena. Eminent not only in the flowing traditional Saris worn by the mocha-skinned goddesses of the East, but also prominent throughout interior design, weddings and various other creative fields in the region, the colour gold is an important metallic compliment to the bold colour combinations we have come to associate with the India.
For the table-scape, we made use of an eclectic mix of lanterns, stained and clear glass, and interesting elements such as the carved golden hand holding the menu. These décor elements served to create a base for the bright and beautiful blooms; like the gleaming jewels set in a golden crown: deep red roses, burgundy dragon snaps, yellow, orange and maroon chrysanthemums, cerise statice flower and sweet William, willow (which we painted gold), lysianthus buds, pepper tree foliage and even some succulents made their way onto the table.
We also opted for deep teal water glasses and layered in some more Indian flair with the stunning custom stationary by Astragraphix and even some shortbread biscuits by Holy Cow Cookies to match the scheme as guest favours.”
