Today we are sharing Anthony and Roxanne’s Haycroft Farm Wedding with you by Tyron Mackenzie Photography. The bride, Roxanne, planned the whole wedding herself, together with her mother and bridesmaids, and it came together so beautifully.
Have a look!
Lovebirds | How did you two meet?
Anthony and I met around 10 years ago through mutual friends in Umhlanga.
We become very close friends and after a couple years that friendship evolved into a relationship, i moved to CT and he followed, and since then, the rest is history :)
I said Yes | How did the proposal go down?
On a trip to CT, being the control freak i am, i had every day planned out of our trip! Anthony asked if one day we could just have no plans, pack a picnic and see where the day takes us, i agreed. When we woke up that morning he told me to pack a bag, he had booked a surprise getaway for 2 nights! We drove through to Chapmans Peak, found a beautiful spot & set up our picnic. Anthony said we should have a photo, set the camera on self timer and as we posed for the pic, he got down on one knee and popped the question! We then popped the champagne and enjoyed two nights at the GORGEOUS Kronendal Heritage Hotel.
The Big Day | What was the most memorable moment of your wedding day?
There are a few:
Walking down the aisle with my dad, seeing Anthony and realizing this is really happening! :)
Having my 6 year old niece & flower girl, Rachael, in tears during the ceremony because she was just so happy for us!
Seeing all our family and friends, from all over SA and the world all together, just for us!
Describe your wedding day in one sentence
Just as I imagined it to be, magical; lots of dancing and loads of fun!
Forever & Always | Any advice for future brides?
Just relax, don’t sweat the small stuff, even the big stuff if possible! I planned & organised everything myself and I was very relaxed, even though everyone thought I would turn into the infamous Bridezilla. Everyone says it but, really, the day goes by so so quickly, have fun, dance and step back at some point with your hubby and take it all in, it really is an amazing feeling knowing that all your guests are there just for you both and to celebrate you, very heart warming!
